The Model Portfolio Mid Cap Flyers was updated this weekend. New Adds of 16 stocks were made and Removals of 16 stocks were made. All prices are as of 08/04/2023. A total of 20 stocks are in the Portfolio now.

Remove – ADEA, CARG, CODI, COTY, CNK, CRSR, F, NCR, NU, ORLA, PLAB, STNE, TAC, VECO, WT, WTTR

The Mid Cap Flyers Model Portfolio is now outperforming the benchmark MDY slightly for the year. This outperformance is being led by VRT, STNE and PLAB as of 8/4/23.

The Model Portfolio is made up of 18 to 21 stocks. The criteria used is that firstly, the stocks are in the Mid Cap universe of stocks. This is defined as having a Market Capitalization between $1 Billion and $12 Billion. The vast majority of the stocks selected should be in that range. Secondly, Earnings per share (EPS) and related data concerning EPS is used to make the selections.

The turnover in the Portfolio is very sensitive to fundamental data being updated in the database. During the peak of earnings season, you can expect the turnover to go up. This reflects the new fundamental data being added to the database. The portfolio is scheduled to be updated early each month to catch the latest updates and reflect them immediately in the portfolio.
