The Model Portfolio Large Cap Stalwarts was updated this weekend. New Adds of 12 stocks were made and Removals of 12 stocks were made. All prices are as of 08/11/2023. A total of 20 stocks are in the Portfolio now.

Add – ACGL, BRO, GE, GM, IR, LYV, MAS, MGM, PHM, RCL, TROW, WY

Remove – AXON, CLX, F, KMB, LW, MHK, MNST, NEM, PANW, TYL, VMC, VRSN

This Model Portfolio is the only one on this website to be actually trailing its benchmark this year. The Backtest for this Portfolio outperformed the RSP benchmark in 12 out of the 19 years tested. It underperformed in years 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2018 and 2020. It was largely even with the benchmark in 2010. When the Portfolio outperformed, it was usually by a significant margin. The best year was 2017 when it was up by 44%. So there is every reason to believe that the Portfolio will come back strong at some point and take the lead away from the benchmark.
