The Model Portfolio Mid Cap Flyers was updated this weekend. New Adds of 14 stocks were made and Removals of 14 stocks were made. All prices are as of 09/01/2023. A total of 20 stocks are in the Portfolio now.

Add – ACMR, ATSG, EXTR, FBRT, GES, JBI, KRP, NMFC, PAYO, PSEC, SHEN, SONO, TTMI, USAC

Remove – AFYA, CLS, CRBG, EE, GPS, KTOS, LTHM, MLKN, PAGS, PGTI, STER, STLA, SUZ, VZIO

The Mid Cap Flyers Model Portfolio is now outperforming the benchmark MDY by 4% for the year. This outperformance is being led by VRT. VRT is up 166% since it was added on 5/5/23. The software retained VRT in the Portfolio this weekend.

BackTest – The Backtest for this Portfolio outperformed the MDY benchmark in 15 out of the 19 years tested. It underperformed in years 2014 and 2019. It was largely even with the benchmark in 2008 and 2015. When the Portfolio outperformed, it was usually by a significant margin. The best year was 2005 when it was up by 46%.
