The Model Portfolio Mid Cap Flyers was updated this weekend. New Adds of 15 stocks were made and Removals of 15 stocks were made. All prices are as of 02/02/2024. A total of 20 stocks are in the Portfolio now.

The Mid Cap Flyers Model Portfolio is now up 19% for 2023-2024 and outperforming its benchmark MDY by 5%. Active outperformer GPS is up +41% and PTVE up +35%. These tickers were added 11/3/23 and 11/3/23 respectively.

The Model Portfolio is made up of 18 to 21 stocks. The criteria used is that firstly, the stocks are in the Mid Cap universe of stocks. This is defined as having a Market Capitalization between $1 Billion and $12 Billion. The vast majority of the stocks selected should be in that range. Secondly, Earnings per share (EPS) and related data concerning EPS is used to make the selections.

Add – AEO, ARI, DB, EQX, ERO, GT, NVGS, NWL, OII, PAGS, PLTK, SFNC, STNE, SUZ, UE

Remove – ARCO, CLBT, CPG, DAN, EQC, GBDC, GOOS, LZ, NU, OUT, PAY, PK, PSEC, PYCR, TBLA

The Mid Cap Flyers Model Portfolio continued to keep apace and ahead of its MDY benchmark over the last month. The software decided to keep Active outperforming tickers GPS and PTVE.  The software decided to Remove outperformer TBLA with a 32% gain since its addition on 12/1/23. The turnover, this update, of 15 out of 20 positions reflects the fact that a lot of fundamental data and estimates have been updated in the database because we are right in the middle of earnings season. Fundamental data drives this Portfolio.
