BI-Weekly Swings Portfolio Update 03/13/24 – Up 60% 2023-2024

BI-Weekly Swings Stock Portfolio 2023 performance to date.

The Model Portfolio BI-Weekly Swings was updated this morning. New Adds of 8 stocks were made and Removals of 8 stocks were made. All prices are as of 03/13/2024. A total of 21 stocks are in the Portfolio.

The BI-Weekly Swings Portfolio is up 60% 2023-2024 and 40% ahead of its benchmark BSMAX.

BackTest – The backtest for this Portfolio outperformed the IJR and MDY benchmarks in 15 out of the 19 years tested. It underperformed in years 2008, 2011 and 2019. It was largely even with the benchmarks in 2017. When the Portfolio outperformed, it was usually by a wide margin. The best year was 2016 when it was up by 86%. BSMAX does not go back to year 2004 so it could not be used for a backtest.

Add – BDTX, CMPO, CRGY, GDRX, IMMR, NOTV, ORN, TZOO

Remove – CTLP, DB, HLLY, INTR, MWA, NSSC, SILV, WT

Noteworthy outperformers in the Active section are AMAL up 45% and VIRC up 33%. NSSC up 104% since added to the Portfolio on 10/25/23, was Removed by the software this update and now is in the Closed transactions column.

BI-Weekly Swings Portfolio Summary.

The BI-Weekly Swings Model Portfolio, continued its strong upward movement the last two weeks. The Portfolio is up 60% since 12/31/22. Of note was the Removal of NSSC by the software. NSSC was up 104% when it was removed. The fundamental criteria for NSSC must have been out of the sweet spot the software was looking for to retain picks.
