The Model Portfolio Mid Cap Flyers was updated this weekend. New Adds of 12 stocks were made and Removals of 12 stocks were made. All prices are as of 06/07/2024. A total of 20 stocks are in the Portfolio now.
The Mid Cap Flyers Model Portfolio is now up 23% for 2023-2024 and is ahead of its benchmark MDY. Active outperformer HG is up +23% since it was added on 5/3/24. Outperformers BRCC, CMRE and SEMR were removed from the Portfolio with this update. They were up 26%, 23% and 21% respectively.
The Model Portfolio is made up of 18 to 21 stocks. The criteria used is that firstly, the stocks are in the Mid Cap universe of stocks. This is defined as having a Market Capitalization between $1 Billion and $12 Billion. The vast majority of the stocks selected should be in that range. Secondly, Earnings per share (EPS) and related data concerning EPS to identify positive trends such as upside, surprises, magnitude, and consensus metrics is used.
Add – CENX, CRGY, CXW, GOOS, HBI, HL, IAG, KRO, KW, MBC, PMT, WWW
Remove – AEO, AGRO, BRCC, CMRE, CMTG, ENLC, FSM, PRM, SEMR, SSRM, TAC, TBLA
