I am beginning two new Quant Model portfolios starting today. These new portfolios will start from scratch during a time of all time market highs. The least favorable time to start a new Model Portfolio. They will be updated weekly. All Additions and Removals to the Portfolios will be computer generated using my backtested criteria.

Quant Alpha Weekly

The first Quant Model portfolio I will call Quant Alpha Weekly. It will be a slightly changed version of my closed Quant Alpha Portfolio. It shares most of the criteria of the original Quant Alpha Portfolio but one big difference is that it will be updated weekly. The selection criteria has been tightened a little based on my research conducted in the last two months and the Sell criteria has been loosened a little to allow for slightly longer holds. One difference you will see over time is that the number of active Additions will be more than in the original Quant Alpha portfolio.

Quant 30

The second Quant Model portfolio I will call Quant 30. It will be updated weekly too and will have a substantial amount of turnover. I expect that once it is fully established, there will be new Adds and Removes each week. It will have 30 stocks in the Portfolio. To begin, this week the first 15 will be added. The other 15 to be added next week. The Portfolio will use very different criteria than the original Quant Alpha portfolio and the Adds/Removes will be computer generated using my backtested criteria.

Nothing to review yet. I am starting these new Quant Model portfolios at the all time market high. I am confident that over time, even with that big headwind, the Portfolios will outperform the US stock market.
