I’ve been investing in the stock market for a long time—my first stock purchase was back in 1978 through Paine Webber. Over the decades, I’ve explored a wide range of strategies, including day trading, swing trading, options, and traditional buy-and-hold investing through mutual funds and ETFs.

While I don’t claim to be the smartest investor in the room, I’m always on the lookout for individuals or systems that can consistently generate alpha in the U.S. stock market. My goal is simple: leverage their expertise to enhance my own investment performance.

In my search, I’ve reviewed countless stock-picking services. The problem? Most don’t offer a transparent, auditable track record of their out-of-sample stock recommendations. You’re expected to take their word for it—and frankly, that’s not good enough.

To those services I say: if your performance is truly impressive, why not publish a verifiable audit trail? If the results are as strong as claimed, you’d be proud to let investors analyze the data for themselves.

Over the years, I’ve learned a great deal from people far more knowledgeable than myself when it comes to investing and strategy. Now that I’ve passed the midpoint of life’s journey, I feel a strong desire to give something back—while I still have the time to do so. This website is my way of doing just that.

Of all the strategies I’ve explored, I’ve found Swing Trading and Position Trading the most enjoyable. They allow a life outside investing. They don’t require you to sit in front of a screen all day, yet still offer regular engagement—often on a weekly basis.

Buy-and-hold investing through mutual funds and ETFs is an excellent approach for those who prefer not to dig into individual stock selection. And honestly, most investors aren’t great at picking individual stocks—let’s just admit it. That’s why finding the right strategy matters.

The portfolios shown on this website are theoretical only. These are not real portfolios. But I have done my best to accurately reflect my research and provide an audit trail starting in 2023.
